We were greeted in a welcoming manner and immediately shown to a table.As a local I was known but really was treated as a VIP guest.The waitress Wendy showed us the menus and wine list and offered tastings of the wines to help make a selection. This really impressed me and I wish to acknowledge that. The service and food was excellent and although neither of us felt like dessert we were tempted but asked for a lisle time before ordering. This happened and sweets were delicious as was the main course of beef pie and kangaroo. I really question why people go to a hotel and pay almost the same price when you get silver service and much better cuisine here aand t Clare Country Club.
Visited tonight and loved the customer service. However the steak was ordered medium-rare yet delivered medium-well done. The rest of the food was delicious and were larger serves than expected. Small side notes, some of the wine on offer was unavailable, extra sides did not come out on time with meals and the table settings, whilst nice enough, were rather plain and unimaginitive. For meals and service, perfecto, yet it could be so much more!
We only had a main course each, as we were not really hungry. My husband had a combination dish of fish and calamari, which he enjoyed very much.I chose the stuffed chicken fillet, which was lovely, but was overpowered by a HUGE serving of mashed frozen peas. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, and we would love to go back some time.
We came to the restaurant as we were staying at the Country Club, so it was nice and convinent (particularly since we didn't have to leave the building to get there!). The food really was of exceptional quality and taste, and all the staff seemed to go above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was enjoyable.

We were staying in the hotel so phoned up to book the restaurant the week before.When we presented ourselves at the restaurant we had not been entered into the reservations book, which was very disappointing.They managed to find us a table, which was lucky for them
A delightfull and friendly cellar door. The girls very helpful in guiding us through the tasting. Wines are all $17 so no issues of being influenced by price. The wines are all great value for money so thoroughly recommend a visit.
Conners Restaurant at The Clare Country Club is worth a visit. Great food, wines and lovely setting overlooking the lake. Food is seasonal and is matched to some great local wines.
The menu is quite extensive as is the wine list. Waiting staff were knowledgeable and polite.The food was good. My only minor gripe was that fries are not chips as per the menu.

Food ok but a sad and dated place - like going back to the 60's! Great sunset is probably the best comment I can make!
eating here is good, but not great. it's more like nice pub food. the staff was busy but warm and welcoming.
