As locals we have visited many times, both downstairs and upstairs. To begin the location is superb, can't get any closer to the beach and the scale of the venue allows for stunning views through the endless windows and doors. For families downstairs is great especially the wood fired oven pizzas. (be careful if you want the seafood, very pricey). Adults only upper level has a great vibe and hip with a sophisticated industrial beachside fit-out at a high quality level we have come to expect from owner Justin Hemmes. The downside is that as it is such a large operation the slick service while great cannot match the personal intimacy of a smaller place. Gets very very busy most of the time. Als...

Visited with my family on Saturday lunchtime and because we wanted to sit upstairs in the sun on the balcony the food menu was quite limited and less 'pub grub' than we would have liked. What we had was very nice though and reasonably priced. Had a really relaxed visit. When I went back on another Saturday at around 6pm with a work colleague it was so full and the music was blasting, we sat downstairs in the bar area ans it wasn't a great dining experience at all. Way too noisy and the bar food was average. I can imagine it being great if there's a gang of friends eating snacks and drinking but we picked the wrong place at the wrong time!

We had a Mediterranean menu to share but not cheap in any sense. The drinks are very expensive. The cheapest glass of red wine is $13, Glass of spirit is $10.50. Absolute rip-off. Also, they have a surcharge on all credit cards which is unheard of in pub, clubs, and restaurants. Some places have a surcharge on Amex but not on a Visa or Mastercard. I assume Coogee Pavillion adds a surcharge to all credit cards to make a massive profit. Also, some people pay by cash to avoid the surcharge on overpriced drinks. The cash transaction is known to be an easy way to evade tax. I really hope the ATO is on to them.

Decided to go on Sunday for a walk and ended up at the pavilion .soooooooo many people ,we went upstairs and were able to get a table on the edge of the balcony ,what a great place for the view .But after a few drinks decided to go down and see if we could have a meal ,as we were not overwhelmed by the menu upstairs ....No problem ,we managed a table and both ordered pizza........well made and tasty with a thin base .Yum .What a wounderful venue, lots of people ,lots of noise .fast service .and great team members. What more would you want on a sunny day ........ My daughter and I booked in for a long Friday lunch and were not disappointed. The oysters were of the highest quality and the wine selection very good. The mussels were fantastic as my daughters pasta with bottarga was very very good. The venue is casual and fun but the service is excellent. Our waiter provided excellent wine matches and was able to provide quality recommendations of food choices. We had a table near the window and was able to spend a lovely afternoon finishing our wine overlooking Coogee.

Found this eating place at the end of our beach walk from Bondi and it was perfect. Pizza-and we got so see them cook them in the huge ovens. Appetizers were delicious...garlic bread, cuttle fish that was sauteed (similar to calamari) and some small red potatoes that were crispy with a spicy aeoli sauce. Lots of pizza varieties to choose from and wine, beer, etc. After our 3 hour walk this was superb, spacious and delicious. A little pricey but totally worth it.

Love this place and it is always crowdedGreat range of food raw bar, cooked seafood, sushi and pizzaInteresting pizzas like the pork fat and sweet onions. Oysters are always fresh and plump. And the grilled octopus is a real treat This place gets crowded and so they limit your table time to about 1.5 hours

Arrivé dans ce restaurant après une belle marche en provenance de Bondi, nous avons pris plaisir à déjeuner en terrasse avec une belle vue de la plage, les assiettes sont riches et savoureuses, le service est correct. Bon rapport qualité/prix Book a table now

Enjoyed a couple of Sunday afternoon drinks during our stay in Coogee, the upstairs balcony is the perfect spot to take in the scenery. Great cocktail and wine lists as well as many craft beers on tap!
