we had a terrible experience here tonight. the service was absolutely terrible. when we arrived and gave our reservation details, we were caught and waved in the general direction of a baptism of tables. it took a while to get the menus and order for even longer. it was quite calm, there was a big group, but they almost ended their meal. the food was authentic and was presented beautifully. ambiente was beautiful and very pleasant. would definitely visit only for the eating couple suggestions 1. the waiters were rigid and waited to close the door. when they have kept the door open, they expect people to order. Copper chimney is by far the best restaurant in Canberra! My husband and I go there all the time! Probably a little too much! We are greeted by our first names and they always remember our order as it never changes! Our favourite table is always reserved for us! The food is to die for! Butter chicken and saag lamb is our usual and its the best food! The naan is so fresh and tasty and the raita and other side sauces are full of so much flavour! I always tell people about this place and highly recommend it!! THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN CANBERRA 100%!!!! If you are reading this then go and try it! I promise you won't be disappointed!
I looked at the reviews and decided that this was the place to go for a good curry and I wasn’t disappointed I was looking for something with serious heat so I ordered the Kolhapuri Ghost (very hot goat curry) with plain nan and basmati rice. It was excellent just the right amount of heat without being painful. The am was also excellent I also tried to imported beers from India Indian Roller Lager (quite sweet and bubbly) at Hayward’s 5000 (also sweet but with a big kick at 8 Service was efficient and friendly decor a bit boring Give it a go if you like curry.

Celebrated my graduation here. A relaxing ambience with wonderful seating and lovely instrumental music really sets the tone for a wonderful evening. Service is fast and excellent..Entrées were amazing..... Moti kebabs and Cauliflower 65 are a must try !!!. Had some amazing curries to follow, very authentic... Amazing flavour and very Delicious.... A shout out to all those who love Indian food...... Its a must go place in Canberra !!!@@
Great place to eat. One of the few that's offers vegetarian/vegan without a sideways glance. Nice selection of non oz beer, too. The ambiance was friendly while being precessional. Service was delightful and left feeling full. I will look forward to going again.

a beautiful atmosphere and attentive staff. eating was nice enough, but too much gravy with the dressed, and I feel curry should be thicker. but had a nice taste.
that is the best Indian food I had in canberra. the service is a little slow so they have a lot of time in the hand when they visit, but its worth waiting for.
