Thursday morning 11th August we visited this branch of Costa. We had spent the night in the Travelodge, above here, and were in need of a decent cup of coffee before we left the area. Went to counter to order our coffees and were greeted by a very cheerful and polite member of staff. We ordered two flat whites, rarely changes creatures of habit. Scanned the loyalty card, then went to pay and was told had sufficient points for a free coffee, even better. We recently moved to the area and started frequenting this Costa. It’s a shame it’s the only coffee shop in the area as the service is outrageous. There is one blondish woman who is there every time and she is the antonym of customer service. She never smiles, maybe she thinks it costs her money, always rude. Every time it’s something different- why she needs to repeat herself, why we asked for dairy alternatives and today was because I asked her not to put the lid on my lukewarm hot chocolate to which she barked at me. Today I visited Tolworth Costa Coffee. Whilst there I had the misfortune to overhear the manager/owner Sam berate and belittle a customer. A young lad about 17/18 apparently attends the Costa regularly for a length of time and only buys one drink. I overheard the man named Sam saying I love being an owner so I can tell them to Fu&k off. He then proceeded to tell the boy infront of a store full of customers that if he sees him again he’ll kick him out. The boy was so embarrassed and the man Sam came back down laughing. I was walking past the Tolworth branch today 9th Aug around 5 pm just after it closed. The staff had just taken the table and chairs in from the pavement and were inside mopping the floor. I knocked on the door to inform the staff that they had left a lot of rubbish outside on the pavement that was clearly Costa cartons of food and drinks. The staff just looked at each other and completely ignored me. Clearly they don’t give a dam about the environment or Tolworth Broadway. I will now be avoiding this branch and suggest other do too! Costa if you care about your reputation sort out your staff.

Honestly every single visit I have had to this branch has been a fab experience. Staff are always friendly, smiley and so polite. You can see they're a great team which is important for customers to see as part of having a welcoming environment. Orders are dealt with promptly and coffee taste yummy! The branch is clean and seating tables are always kept tidy. Thank you so much for allowing us to have a brilliant experience every time we visit.
Terrible Service!!! Now I love a coffee and Costa is a good but the service here is awful!! Gimme your money and get lost. Unpleasant, unhelpful and no customer service!! Don’t ask them how their app works and if using your own cup wash it before you go in. This is now not part of their service. What an unpleasant experience.. avoid if you can
Save your money and go to ANY other coffee store. Rude does not even begin to cover the staff in this store why have a customer facing role if you hate customers? Go find an independent coffee bar that welcomes its customers and doesn't make you feel like they are doing you a huge favour by serving you
The manager is very rude and unprofessional. She has no management skills and doesn’t know how to deal with customers. She repeatedly got our order wrong. I believe she did it on purpose because we weren’t regulars. Very disappointed in our visit and certainly will not be returning.

Put a delivery order in by Ubereats, when the order arrived a nuber of items were missing but showed on the reciet so they were paid for. Not the first time that Tolworth Costa has been wrong. Looks like a place to avoid if they can't put items that are on the bill in the order.
Bad staff. Bad manager. Never more I will back in this place. How is it possible a big company to stayed with a bad manager.
