I promised myself I will specifically rate this place. While staying at the camping nearby for a week with two kids, it was the first and last place we visited to eat in. It was wonderful on all sides! The food is of high quality and superb taste. I went for La Poulette both times, just couldn't resit, but simple ham and cheese was also great. Nicely served, good portions. The choice is fair, they have menus for adults and kids. Service is just perfect. Really friendly and helpful people. They are also well equipped to handle kids - they have both high chairs and booster seats, plastic cups and lots of patience. My reception as a solo diner was warm--and, luckily, English-speaking. During the evening, however, I was the only non-French person in the room--and the hostess greeted about half of them with kisses. Families, children. all very lively. My salad with lardons was more than generous, fresh and dressed lightly. The buckwheat crepe (the only thing to order) with spinach cream and smoked salmon was quite large and quite delicious--very good quality ingredients. Overall, a satisfying experience.
Hard to beat for value for money! Delicious food, excellent service, very nice house wine & all at a great price. We shared an assiette of jambon, followed by two of the most delicious gallettes you will ever taste - jambon, Gruyere & mushroom sauce! To die for. All with a 50cl of house rose @ €6 ( so we had 2)! Would return tomorrow if we weren't leaving. Open on a cold Monday winter evening too. Please do visit to try it out.

Irene and Jean-Noel run a small but high quality creperie/saladerie in the centre of Saumur by plentiful car parking.Beautifully presented dishes combined with attentive and friendly service make this one not to miss. Remember to book though. Look for the attractive and unusual wall decoration.

We had lunch here twice during a recent stay in Saumur. Both times the service and food where superb. Very friendly attentive staff and the crepes and salads amazing. The house wine at less than 6euros a carafe was extremely good value. Situated in a lovely spot on the river bank this is definitely a restaurant to return to.
Crepes are what you should have here, both for your main course as well as dessert. Popular and on a main street. Set menu is a great deal. Galette Montignard (ham, egg, cheese) was good as was a crepe with chicken. Dessert crepes are lurid (and wonderful.) Very friendly staff. Outdoor eating is best. Pleasant evening.
We dropped in here late on a Monday night when not a lot is open in Saumur in May and were made to feel very welcome.The menu is mostly crepes but there are other decent choices. My omelette was excellent and the wine was very good indeed.
Visited here after the Saturday market in Saumur. Great galletes and crêpes. Very busy when we went but the service was quick and attentive. Would recommend!
