When our food arrived, we found a hair in the pancakes. We decided to leave it there to show the server exactly where it was. However, when we brought it to her attention, she rudely took the plate away. Another waiter, who later introduced himself as the owner, came over and asked us where the hair was. We explained that we had pulled it out to show him, but he insisted he couldn't see any hair and accused us of lying.

The younger server returned to our table, claiming to be the owner, and stated that she wanted us to leave to prevent any issues. I explained that I was ready to go but had been asking for my bill multiple times. Eventually, we departed, but as I was standing by my car, one of the staff members came outside and shouted at me for my phone number and full name. We were essentially thrown out for simply complaining about finding a hair in the pancake batter! We felt harassed and humiliated by the owner. Even customers at a nearby table were unsettled by the way we were treated and kept asking why the staff was acting that way.
The menu offered an incredible variety that catered to everyone's tastes in our group. The homemade banana pancakes were absolutely extraordinary! Everything we ordered, including the Loco Moco, Classic Breakfast, and Avocado Bacon Benedict, was delicious. Even the poached eggs were cooked just right.
Annie, the owner, came by our table multiple times to make sure we were happy with both our food and service. It's not often you find such outstanding food and service for breakfast, and we certainly found it at Country Cafe! We will definitely come back the next time we're in California.
If you're looking for classic diner food with so much flavor and top notch customer service- come here! They might not have lates or almond milk, but their food and customer service is excellent ! My family and I visited on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. The server was friendly, attentive, and offered great food recommendations such as their bacon breakfast burrito. She also brought out a water bowl for my dog, which was a very generous gesture.

Everything was fresh and prepared to order! The sausage patties in the Country Boy dish tasted like they were homemade. The Egg White Scramble, which included mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes, was perfectly cooked. Although the restaurant was moderately busy, my coffee cup was never less than half full. The staff was exceptionally friendly. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area for breakfast or lunch.
I found this restaurant today, and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the LOCO MOCO for myself and the HOBO OMELET for my husband, and both dishes were fantastic. The food is prepared from scratch, just like I remember from my childhood. The service was outstanding as well—thank you, Hugo! We will definitely be coming back.
There was nothing particularly memorable about this restaurant. The food arrived cold, and to be honest, I can't even remember what I ordered. However, if you're in search of a quick breakfast spot where you can get in and out in 30 minutes, this is the right choice for you.
Poor service. Got a to go order and they forgot my orange juice. Not sure how I got bad lettuce on my sandwich. Who ever made it why would you put bad lettuce when you can clearly see it. Thanks for the bad experience
