I really do not know what has happened to this place. On our past 3 visits there has been an issue with food either being wrong, cold or just not cooked. Enough is enough. This was our last visit. Ordered an omelette, cut into it,...I could of moped it up with a round of bread. I know eggs can be eaten raw, but not as an omelette. On previous visit, hot pot was served cold, had to return it. I had already put red cabbage on to the hot pot, so obviously when I returned it, they had just put it in the microwave, as when it returned, I burnt my mouth on the red cabbage. My partner order a breakfast with brown toast, white toast came out and items missing off the breakfast. The place is not long...
Been going here once a week for a couple of years. Never disappointed. Quite an extensive choice on menu. My favourites are the Lancashire hot pot and the salad platters. The latter are very large and appetising. I notice that the majority of clientele, like...myself, are pensioners and we know a good thing when we find one! It is nearly always full, sometimes a small wait is necessary. The prices are very reasonable and the waitstaff attentive and obliging.
The service at this restaurant was reminiscent of Fawlty Towers. I informed the waitress that something was missing from my dish, and she aggressively snatched the plate away. We waited for 30 minutes for it to be corrected. As a paying customer, I was disgusted to be treated in such a manner. The prices at this establishment are not cheap, so I was very disappointed to say the least. This experience took place on September 28th, 2019.
Called in for a quick coffee, while my wife was shopping in the centre. Didn't know I had to display, supplied, a wooden spoon to let them know I required service but I was soon served anyway. Ordered coffee and toast, chose the thick toast...and it turned out to be thick at least 1 Food that others were eating looked really nice so I may persuade my wife to spend longer shopping in future!!

We came across this little place by accident. We sat down with our wooden spoon that we were asked to place on our table, after a few minutes our waitress came over and took our order. The food arrived and was lovely and fresh and...hot. Staff were very helpful and patient. Service was of an excellent standard and will use again when passing through St. Helens. Would recommend this place.
During my visit to the town, I dined at this restaurant with my husband and parents. We had a wonderful meal, with delicious and tasty dishes prepared by the chefs. The waiter provided excellent customer service, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The restaurant was also very clean. Keep up the fantastic work!
Ordered a take away breakfast for my niece and myself my partner this morning from here it was £32 Short wait, polite phone service but the breakfast itself was an absolute inedible disgrace I just can’t believe they would think this was ok to serve someone this? Really disappointed!

Every time we were able to get a table, the service was prompt and the food was enjoyable. We especially liked the potato and ham soup, and even the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be visiting again.
