OK, to be fair this is not a German restaurant, it's suppoed to be Mexican (though somehow I doubt that, too). I have to blame ourselves for wanting so bad to eat a delicious Wiener schnitzel when we finally came to Germany on our travels. We shouldn't have gone here to get it. But we did, and they claimed to have it on their menu. They served us a brown, bone dry, fatty piece of something that had started life as something, maybe pork. It was inedible. Truly. But our dog liked it, so at least she was happy. The fries were good and so was the beer. So this is a place where you drink and eat snacks. Don't eat dinner here!

I can not complain about this only visit we made there until now. Good location, you can quietly sit outside, just a few steps away from the whole noise and traffic of the pedestrian zone in Trier , it's really pleasant. Our waitress was nice and quick, food was good. The inside restaurant seems to be decorated to match the Mexican flair, and lavatories are clean and spacious. We had a good experience, but I should point out that we were there during an afternoon, not week-end, and I can guess that it might get much more busy sometimes...

The restaurant was OK, interesting decor for a Mexican restaurant, but oh well, we are in Germany... ordered chicken and beef fajitas, expecting a sizzling skillet with deliciously roasted meat... what came out was a non sizzling skillet with what tasted like boiled meats. The salsa was ketchupy and sweet. The food was edible, but I wouldn't go anywhere else with that. To give some credit, service was great, beer was great (we are in Germany, after all!!! :

Spend a lot of time finding out what to eat. They even had a “allergy book” but due to mistakes in the book and poor communication with the kitchen my wife ended up with stomach pain and diarrhea. The food we had was warm io hot and without inspiration. There are many alternatives in trier.
