I am quite dissatisfied with the pricing practices at this seafood restaurant. In my hometown, price gouging is unacceptable. When I called, I was quoted $50 for a dozen of their top-quality oysters, but once I arrived, I was told the actual price was $100 a dozen. It seemed they were attempting to sell me second-rate oysters as their premium selection, which I find misleading and unfair. The oysters I received were not particularly large, as you would expect from the top grade. I made a special trip to this restaurant and felt deceived by the experience.
When the father was running this store it was great, The live crabs on the counter and baskets ,you paid the price for the right size. Now with younger crew running it, Don't know if it's his sons. They are ripping people off with the price of crabs, Been going here since the late nineties , This summer they had bushels of crabs some high as 70 not even 5 points, But theones that were 65 or 55 all the same size, charging almost same dollar amount. Do not think be going back again it's a shame.
We love this place, you are treated with such respect and they also give great directions on preparing the seafood and fish! You just can't beat the quality of the food. We realized how good they are and how much we missed them when we were displaced by Sandy, we are back and the Crab Shack is just as good as we remembered. Thank you all, Ted and Wendy Amo
I grew up enjoying seafood from this place. Daryl and Sharrie are fantastic! The food from the kitchen is exceptional, and if you're a fan of coleslaw, you won't find better than the Crab Shack's coleslaw.
