Best Reuben around.I came here to try out restaurants in Elkins Park outside of Philadelphia. I was actually headed somewhere else but the place was closed, and we decided to look for a Jewish deli.We only tried a few things today, but the red/purple potato salad and the Pastrami Reuben are top notch. The coffee was also quite pleasant, but standard. The Ruben was packed with meat and had the perfect balance of seasoning. Not too salty, just enough to keep you going for another bite. The potato salad had some subtle sweet herbs I hadn't tried before, possibly a type of seed mixed in. Yelp Central has asked me to review this business three times already. Although it appears that it no longer exists in this form, I have not spoken with management to determine it's actual status, and am not in position to notify Yelp of its current circumstances. All I can say is that it appears that the Creek Side Market now consists of three separate businesses: Creek Side Restaurant Deli, Haven Local and Cheshire Brewery. They share a common dining area and are symbiotic to the extent of trying not to duplicate menus and helping out with products one may not have that are available next door. Reminded me of a pizza shop with beer options. I highly recommend upgrading the food menu to go along with the fun beer selections. Maybe some queen of heart tarts , tea sandwiches , heartcharcuterie board, jabberwocky wings , hatter clam chowder,dodo chicken sandwich, off with the bread salad etc.
Great place to go for lunch, great hoagies and warm food. Every now and then they will have baklava which is one of my favorite treats!
