On a quick two day visit to Noirmoutier, we hit lucky when we plumped for the centrally located Ble Noir purely by chance for a quick bite to eat for lunch. The town is well served by eateries, but this looked busy and cosy. Not only was the lunchtime galette tasty, the dessert we sampled was top drawer, to the point we then booked there for our evening meal for the next two nights, this time indoors rather than on the terrace. Both nights it was packed with locals, the kitchen was visible, busy and turning out some great food.
