After finally checking in, we encountered more issues with the elevators - only one out of the three was in service and even that one was not functioning properly, stopping a foot above the floor level. Due to these concerns, we opted to take the stairs.
Upon entering our rooms, we found that the toilet did not flush and there was a strong odor of cigarettes and smoke. As a frequent traveler who has always been loyal to the IHG brand, I have encountered the occasional need for improvement in their services. However, this experience was unacceptable. The hotel seems in need of closure, evident from the last inspection date on the elevator.
Covid cannot be used as an excuse to charge full...

This resort is one of the best in this area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you won't be disappointed.Very friendly and helpful staff. Was a lot going on that weekend as the hotel and surrounding locations were sold out, but that didn't mean that my family or I were not tended too. The staff assisted with every little need or question without hesitation. The staff made it as enjoyable as possible.
I have stayed at Crowne Plaza's before and have never had an issue. This time it was different.The restaurant was closed and the only option for food was a 5 item menu from the bar. I ordered chicken wings and they were poor quality. I tried ordering drinks from the bar but the bar tender didn't know how to make the drinks I asked for. I literally had to tell them what went into the drink I wanted. I was able to check in on time and my room was okay. The AC seemed to work sometimes but other times it got hot but other than that the room was fine.
False Advertising!! We chose this hotel because they had room service. With Covid raging and an immune compromised child, we thought we could stay in, order room service and watch TV. There was No room service and the TV did NOT work. We called to ask about the TV and room service and they were rude and unapologetic. The comforter had a huge hole and the bath mat was in shreds. We checked out after one night but were charged for 2. Horrible service, outdated rooms, false advertising. Will never stay at a crowne plaza again!!

beautiful hotel on the south side of springfield, il. near shopping and several restaurants. the lobby rooms were clean. beds and kisses were comfortable. shower was nice with good water pressure. price for normal room price is a little on the high side, but we have a discount room as we were with a high time and had a block of rooms with a lower price for high time guests. Therefore, although this was a nice hotel because I frugal when I visit springfield again, I can choose another hotel in the opposite with lower trips.
beautiful hotel, the suits are spacious and very tastefully decorated. pool and 14 floor open air deck are both currently open. masks are recommended. but not enforced. Check-in is currently on 2nd floor. beside the lounge. eating and service were very good.
thanks for great hospitality! I had an excellent stay and the service from the staff was great! darlene the manager went beyond and beyond to make sure that my stay was great! the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean! I recommend this hotel!
Not having a free coffee bar in the morning is a deal breaker for me, considering all the offerings at this restaurant. I prefer hotels that include free breakfast, so if you value that convenience and cost savings, this may not be the place for you.

Was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this motel this trip. Found chicken bones in lobby of the 7 the floor, very outdated. No restaurant opened but we did have a very good meal in bar.
