Visited this restaurant with wife and Brother who was visiting from Canada. Wife is not usually a lover of spicy food, but very helpful waiter advised her on what was to be a perfect dish for her. Brother and I had Jalfrazi with rice, and could not fault it. I LOVE my food but found the portions to be very generous, staff were very attentive, without being over bearing. Was a most enjoyable evening, Quite busy but certainly Not noisy, or crowded, Premises very clean and very pleasing decor. Prices were very reasonable. Will certainly go back, and would recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxed meal.
We had a lovely Indian meal here. We had papadoms for starters which came with four different dips/sauces. I had a crispy chicken starter and chicken tikka masala with egg fried rice for main. We had nann bread as well which was really nice. Then I had feraro rocher chocolate ice cream for dessert. All very tasty. We got a chocolate mint each at the end as well. There was a good mix of some English and Indian music in the background. The only negative was the bill which for the three of us came to £66! We probably ate too much! Other than that everything else was perfect.
So I like to food at Chrystal Rivers in general and the staff are top knotch. Had booked a Christmas lunch for three I had an Asian meal and the other two had a traditional british Christmas dinner. My meal was good but the traditional Christmas meals were very sad looking with tiny portions including the thimble of gravy. The pudding was served cold with lumpy custard. For the money paid I would of thought that there should of been more on the plate. Also it is not difficult to find out how a pudding should be served. Christmas dinner somewhere else next year.
I was tempted to try this restaurant by the excellent value midweek offer. I had popadom with pickles, starter, main course and mushroom rice for £16. The quality of the food was very good and the service was exceptional. There was also no sign of any service charge being applied despite this being referenced in other reviews. I would be happy to return here if in the area.

Excellent service and good quality food. They easily catered for our party of 10 for an early evening get together. There were also single diners who had obviously been there before. Good food, good location good atmosphere... I'm happy to recommend.
Superb. Really welcoming friendly restaurant with terrific food. Cooking a minty curry which tastes of mint is really difficult (I’ve tried……. the spices usually just overwhelm it. Try Minty Lamb Aloo here. Lovely.
a very nice, clean restaurant. I had the £14 buffet. (poppadom and chutney 1x starter and 1x main and rice or brot. choose from the whole menu. next time I'm in tewkesbury, I'll probably visit again and recommend.
we met as four to dinner on Friday 11. märz there were a few bigger tables, so the service was a bit slower than I guess it would be in the rule but the quality and amount of eating was good.
