This is the second time of eating here in the past month. Two weekends ago we had Sunday lunch which was everything it should be. Yesterday we stopped for a lunch. Lovely food again. Landlady is lovely and very friendly. Really nice atmosphere and nothing too much trouble.
Lovely, Friendly Village Pub. Great selection of Ales. We were staying at a local hotel but got the bar was shut, so drove to the nearest village. First pub was already closed (just after 10PM). Darnley Arms had a big car park friendly helpful bar maid.
Visited Last night for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Really can’t fault our experience, we had a beautiful meal with Trudy and the team and the bar is well kept and well stocked. A really friendly place to spend a few hours.
Clean room, basic but does the job, tee/coffee, tv, hot and powerful shower. Had fish and chips for my evening meal and it was very good. Local beer (bitter) was very good. Good safe parking at rear of pub. Book a table now
First visit. Asked for a dry medium and a sweet Rose. barmaid looked at me like I’d dropped out of space. They only had one Rose it was cheap as chips. Pub had no atmosphere would not be going back
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was very reasonably priced and what we had was excellent. Very friendly feel from regulars too.
My partner had scampi and chips that he enjoyed. I enjoyed my sandwich but their was hardly any tuna mayonnaise in my roll.
Burger was so bad… they don’t have drinks menu and don’t give you receipt, and charge £5.2 for half pint of coke. Avoid Book a table now
A proper good locals pub. Clean beer, great food and no rubbish. A great homely pub. I love it
