one of the best culinary experiences I had in Switzerland, the hotel restaurant de l’ours exemplary service, makes its guests like a license (no matter what age! and is really must visit place to eat when they are in the region bern, fribourg, neuchatel or payerne. the quality and presentation of the food is on another level, even more special by the excellent service staff who expects our needs, but also their removal. you can see the pride of the staff in their work, no detail too small, no snobbery, only exemplary service coupled with exemplary food. we may have felt like fish from the water, but the personal has welcomed us and greatly contributed to our pleasant positive culinary experi...
if you want to spend a relaxing evening with excellent restaurants, this is the place. we had a six-course menu that started with a local wine tasting on the terrace under the shade of a large building. when the weather conditions worsened, we had to move in. the service was very attentive, but never intrusive. the restaurant offers many local wines, but also offers a great selection of wines from all over the world in all price categories. we were glad that we could just walk into our rooms after the extensive meal and a few glass wein too foot. the next morning we served an excellent breakfast with a glass champagner. it's not cheap, but worth every penny of it. we (five of us) wanted to eat here on Sunday afternoon, but the restaurant was completely booked what was a good thing at the end, as we had the nicely ordered dining room in the evening. everything was perfect. a very warm welcome from the paraglider and excellent service from the very modest waiter who created a great atmosphere. we all had different appetizers, main courses and desserts, but all dishes were delicious and very well presented. the waiter helped us to choose the accompanying wee that perfectly combined with our directed. we really had a wonderful evening.
we felt instantly very welcome, the service was friendly and quick, our food was delicious and well presented. i had the red curry prawns which were just the right kinda spicy. do not miss out the crème brûleée or the fantastic peach gratin for dessert....we will be back for sure.
