Our visit to the restaurant was great. We ordered a boatyard burger and a ploughman's, both of which were generous portions that we were able to share with our two-year-old. The dishes were of great quality and very tasty. Despite the busy atmosphere, the wait wasn't long, especially considering the number of customers they had to serve. I would rather wait for freshly cooked homemade food in such a beautiful setting than be served quick, microwaveable meals like you would find at lower quality establishments. I went to this restaurant for lunch today with friends and had a truly fantastic time. We ordered our food and drinks, and they came out very quickly, and they were of excellent quality, especially the cocktails. The food also arrived promptly. I had the fish finger open sandwich, and it was delicious - clearly made fresh to order. The service was outstanding, with efficient and friendly staff. We sat outside, giving us a beautiful view of the river, making it a delightful dining experience. We will definitely be coming back.
Great location. Food below average Service very below average Uninspiring menu. More interested in quick turnaround than seated customers. Customers being told that they shut at 4 that’s not the kitchen closing it’s they shut. If that’s the case why take bookings for a table at 3pm.
This restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food was indifferent and the service was poor, especially after a very long wait. Given its prime location, it has the potential to be a goldmine, but it falls far short of that.

Wonderful Sunday roast for two. Beef was excellent and left feeling nice and full. Warm and welcoming atmosphere and pleasant staff did not feel rushed! Will definitely be returning. Car park with lots of space also a plus.
Only the deli counter open. The food looked tired and dry, but worst of all, had lots of flies in the cabinet. Food was all uncovered. I cannot review the taste, we left as we didn’t want to eat food crawling in flies.
Scenic setting in beautiful Constable countryside and a charming converted boatyard. Wonderful home cooked food. Friendly helpful staff.
