On a cold day, I couldn't resist trying the shakshuka. It did not disappoint - the dish was flavorful with a hint of chili, served with a generous portion of dukkah spiced Turkish bread for dipping.
The Buddha bowl was a delight, filled with a variety of flavorful ingredients and dressed in a tahini dressing.
To conclude our meal, we indulged in the berry hotcake, which was not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. It is a must-try when visiting Si Cafe.

I would give this cafe a rating of 3.7 out of 5. The interior of the cafe is modern and well-presented. The coffee exceeded my expectations, being dark, rich, and delicious. In fact, I found it to be better than the coffee served at the nearby Down the Rabbit Hole cafe. The menu also looked appealing, with enticing descriptions that made my mouth water. However, I was disappointed that the table water was not cold. While this may seem like a minor detail, I believe that chilled table water demonstrates attention to detail and sophistication, something that was lacking at this cafe compared to the Rabbit Hole. Yesterday morning, we were invited to Si, a recently renovated café in Templestowe with friendly staff. We arrived between breakfast and lunch and opted for the breakfast menu. I chose the smashed avocado with sides of salmon gravlax and house-made hash browns, all of which were exceptional. The standout dish was the berry hot cake, beautifully presented and even better than expected. I highly recommend trying it. Despite being full, we couldn't resist trying a cannoli from their dessert selection.
Very good for that walk up quick and short meal. Alternately, ideal for coffee group and small business catch up gatherings. Limited seating on offer though, both indoors and outdoors. Food and desserts, including cakes good value overall. Limited food range on offer, i.e. not ideal for that restaurant or evening out meal, if so desired. Strong on breakfast and luncheon meals, though.

Nice place. Very homely. Found the cheese burger excellent, perfectly toasted bun, large thick tasty bacon piece, very tasty meat and the chips nice too. TheBuddha bowl delicious and refreshing. The coffees were excellent. Can tell this business really care how they present and the food was excellent. I do not do many reviews but I have to say this place is highly recommended.
Poached eggs almost hard boiled and very on luke warm at best. Took 25 minutes to come around mid morning with no one there. This coupled with a few less than great other experiences lately has this local moving on. Come on guys, it's easy to improve.
Main meals were re heated food not freshly cooked ordered 2 char grill mains where the food came out as pre cooked meats and re heated as customers ordered these plates ,food was cold and tasted terrible. not a good experience.
Been here many times with friends for breakfast and lunch. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and also very nice coffee !!!! Definitely recommended.
