I will never eat here again. The food is mediocre, and during my last visit with my wife, I ordered two quesabroths with a side of consommé, as well as a plate of birria, which is supposed to come with its own consommé. When the server delivered our food, he claimed that only one soup was ordered. What about the one that came with the birria? He brought an extra one, but as soon as we stepped outside, he called me back and informed me that I hadn’t paid for the consommé. It would cost $5.71! Seriously, $5.71 for a cup of soup with no meat? I told my wife that I would never return to this place, especially since I've spent a good amount of money here before.
I drove from Covina to try out their food and let me tell you, FANTASTIC! THE Birria, homemade tortillas, Chile relleni in a tomato garlic sauce is so good! Don't forget to try the mole too! If that's not enough, top off your meal with a Frida Kahlo juice, you won't be sorry. I'd give it 10 stars but 5 is the limit.
Great authentic food, after a nice conversation with the owners, I got some insight on what they are dealing with trying to keep this place open later hours .The owners are very proud of what they serve and it shows. They have a great selection of dishes, and everything I have tried is very good.
I'll be honest what brought me in here was a picture of the chilakiles plate So that's what I ordered chilakiles plate was delicious authentic beans and flavorful portion little small ,for the price , should rate 5 star but will rate 4 for the small portion all around good place will come again!
