This place has great potential! It certainly looks the part, but the real test is, of course, the food. Unfortunately, the dish I tried felt more like a serving of warm fat with barely any meat. When you visit a barbecue pit, you expect a hearty, meaty meal, but here, the meat was scarce and hard to find. The side dishes were nearly inedible; the mac and cheese was basically a solid lump, and the fried okra was overcooked to the point of being unrecognizable. On the bright side, they did offer some good soda to help wash away the taste. The staff was just okay—there wasn't any friendly greeting, and my order was taken without a smile. Food was just ok got the brisket baked potato and it was advertised to have tons of meat and I barely had any. I had more sour cream than meat and it didn't have the cheese sauce at all. Food was cold I had to warm it up when I got home. Ribs where seasoned good but not as tender as they could have been and my boxes where very dirty. I don't like my food served in containers that have food or sauce all over the outside. I didn't appreciate having to go home and melt my own cheese and make a cheese sauce for the potato that lacked meat. Like it said it was not great but it was not nasty either just ok. But it really was not worth 80 bucks.
The food itself was not the greatest! The service was terrible and the price is ridiculous! I ordered 2 brisket sandwiches, 1 side of Mac n cheese, an old fashioned plate, 1 side mash potatoes and 3 small drinks drinks and it came out to $86.94!!!! All the sodas where plate and I carbonated and the mashed potatoes were dried,burn and I'm pretty sure it had mold!! I wanted to give the place a 0 but I can't, so I'm giving it a 1!!
I was excited to try the new owners food. Unfortunately no greens when I came. The mac was NOT good, it was gritty and curdled. The beans were dried around the edges like they had been microwaved and they were so thick. Them my mom came in a few days laterand ordered catfish that was fried so HARD it was inedible. I mean it was hard as a rock. 18 bucks for 1 piece of hard fish.SMH. The ribs were good, hence the 2 stars.

The best part of my meal was the packaged brownie! What does that tell you? They took the term BURNT ENDS and ran with it! I couldn 't even chew them. They were burnt shoe leather. Kraft Mac and cheese hit better than their Mac. Don 't waste your money! $40 down the drain!
I didn't receive what I ordered! There was no Asiago Cheese Creamed Spinach, Mac n Cheese, or Kielbasa sausage. Instead, I got two coleslaws and two mashed potatoes, which I didn't ask for. I tried calling, but no one answered. I'm really disappointed — two thumbs down!
Absolutely absurd! This restaurant is way too pricey for the residents of Compton. If it were in Hollywood, I could see the rationale, but this feels like a robbery of our community. Even the BBQ spots that have been serving us for over 40 years don’t charge this much!
The restaurant is no longer in operation, but you can still place orders through their website. Although it appears to be open, there is a sign on the door indicating that they've moved to Buena Park. I need a refund.

Worst food ever it was disgusting the ice machine dint work the soda was flat and the meat was dry nit was filthy mash potatoes were hard and it was really expensive for the disgusting food
I wouldn't recommend this place; it's not worth your time or money. The only positive is that they accept EBT. I definitely won't be coming back.
