Stopped by while looking for a nice place to have lunch in the La Cañada area. There were a lot of choices on Foothill Blvd, but Dish caught my eye. Walked in and was immediately seated. There was a separate menu for breakfast and lunch, but I asked for both as I wanted to see my options. Wanted something light so ordered the Farmer's Market salad and the SoCal Eggs Benedict. Also, ordered the Lava Michelada. Shortly after ordering my food, a local friend recommended I order the Banana pancakes. I am so disappointed by Dish Restaurant!!! It was only 6:30 a.m. and they were already known from the traditional turkey dinner....what... actually?? Then the server takes 10 minutes to come to us too big, no bus drivers come with water, nothing....AND NO THEY WERE NOT BUSY!!! Completely unacceptable....they should have been better prepared and only because your haste may have been over does not mean that you remain silent on the rest of us with reservations! I didn't need NEGATIVE recommendations.
So we were here twice and the food was good. But there is something that the staff interacts with other fools with great smiles, but not us. Take the order. Drop the food, fill out the glasses, leave the check. There's nothing wrong, but it's not welcome.
This facility brought me back to a true American breakfast. The only problem is that it is really far from where I live. I wish there were more restaurants like these! Thank you to staff and management!

Great breakfast! Johnnycake was great! My breakfast came with fruit and I added strawberries to the junnycake for some extra freshness and it made it really sing.
