Dixie Pig B-q - Table reservation

I’ve eaten there many times over 5 years but the last few times the ribs are extremely dry and way over cooked to the point of crusty. The same with cornbread very dry and top was burnt. After we ate 3 of these things we threw them out along with the overcooked cornbread. Save your money. Also the place needs to be cleaned up. Try washing the windows and slapping some fresh paint around. Oh … and don’t ask the older lady if ribs are juicy or been sitting for hours after she grabbed a table wiping cloth and wiped her arms and hands…. She becomes edgy.

After reading several reviews, I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. We ordered the ribs and chicken combo as well as the fish and chips. The ribs were amazing - tender and flavorful. However, the chicken was a bit dry, so I would recommend asking when it was grilled and timing your order accordingly. The fish and chips were good, but nothing special. The standout dish was the Carolina BBQ sauce, which had a mustard base with a hint of sweetness - it was fantastic and reminiscent of authentic Carolina BBQ sauce.

We recently dined at Dixie Pig BBQ for the first time and it was fantastic! The staff assisted us in making our choices from the wide array of options available. We decided on the open faced brisket and the chopped brisket platter, both of which were delicious with generous portions at reasonable prices. They offer a variety of BBQ sauces, including Carolina gold and vinegar. The sides of fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, and cornbread were also excellent. We will definitely be returning to Dixie Pig BBQ in the future.

Great food!! Definitely have to try the brisket with the hot bbq sauce. Looks can be deceiving with the building since it is original. Looking forward to the new desserts ?
