We have been coming to Doyle's for years & having been overseas for last 5 months was really looking forward to some yum.Last week was a definite decline on their usually high standard & good quality meals. Entrees were pleasing & tasty but 3 out of 4 mains were a let down. I was trying to decide between carbonara or scallopini it didn't matter coz was same sauce on both. A momentous amount of bacon that made the dish extra salty & overpowering & inedible unless you scraped all the sauce off the scallopini, which I did. The guys steaks were average & nothing special unless you include the $8 extra for one prawn!!! It wasn't busy so do they have a new chef or management or a sign of decline??...
Wow this place was packed !! Luckily made a reservation for 6:30 for 4 Adults and 4 kids ,we arrived for an early dinner but still made no difference didn't get asked for orders for 30 minutes then waited almost 1.5 hrs for food to come out . Too long for kids to wait . Place gets very noisy . Staff were friendly but clearly understaffed. Great for a group of adults wanting to have a long dinner but I don't recommend for families with young children
We had a group of 10 yet the food and drinks came out very quickly - this may have been due to the few people in the restaurant, however, it was a Sunday night. The location is great with a beautiful view outside. The staff were friendly, prices were reasonable and the food was tasty. The table wasn't overly clean though and the glasses looked dirty - perhaps just water stains from the dishwasher but unsure.
We has Sunday lunch here yesterday. It was a beautifully sunny day and such a bright space. The food was really nice with good choices. We had a lovely Peninsula Chardonnay which was perfect. The wait staff were both helpful, friendly and pleasant. Well done team. It is a busy place but well run and speed of service was good. There is capacity to sit outside too looking over the creek. A nice place.

Such a lovely experience here sitting enjoying the Wie yesterday with lots of friends, we chose this bistro as anyone that enjoys salt and pepper calamari "it's the best" I would say the best I've ever had so Thankyou again for the experience and the delicious food and Professionals that served us , just a fantastic venue
This is one of those places where the food is good as is the service...just not great.on the night we visited the restaurant was nowhere near full, and the service was a little slow, but pleasant enough.The food was well presented and flavorful, without being great.Overall the evening was very good not excellent.
Had lunch in the cafe at Doyles with friends last weekend. For cafe-type food it was very good - ranging from woodfired pizzas to singapore noodles, curries. Of our party of four we were all very happy with our meals. Drinks service was a bit on the slow side, perhaps they needed more waiters on duty.
Good food but service is a little slow and it's very cold inside. Staff are a little inconsistent in taking orders and often didn't ask the whole table when someone ordered a drink. Scallops were very nice, as was the calamari. Not a great place for kids.

Food was ok. Pizza looked really good and delicious. I ordered a gluten free special for an appetizer and an entree. For whatever reason they automatically assumed I no longer wanted my dinner and left me with just pizza which was shared by the table.
Bistro and deck are great for a meal with friends. Food and service were great. Gaming lounge not so good so avoid- sports bar also does not fulfil potential.
