We’ve eaten here before and noticed a lot of social media activity following a poor food hygiene rating, which surprised us, so we thought we would check it out again for ourselves. The restaurant looks really clean, recently redecorated, new carpets etc. so initial impression was good. Got to say, the food was great, actually better than we remembered it. The wine was very reasonably priced but the highlight was definitely the service; really friendly and welcoming. We asked the owner about the rating, she explained everything and, from our point of view, we’ll be back soon. Really great evening. Thanks.
This is our go to Chinese and we’ll worth the drive. They cater for us vegans and we have worked our way through everything on the “mock meat menu”. Everything has always been delicious and they make the sweetcorn soup suitable for us and it’s incredibly tasty. The staff are super friendly and helpful and it’s always a pleasure to visit; reasonably priced too. See you soon!
I don't know where to begin with this restaurant review. The noodles were extremely hard, the prawns looked like they were still alive, and it seemed like everything was reheated in the microwave. The rice was stale. The only positive thing about the place was the fish tank, which probably would have tasted better than the food.
Great place to eat in Newton Le Willows Ruby and Alan are great hosts and the food is always hot, fresh and full of taste and flavour The restaurant and staff are always spotlessly clean We have been coming here for the 7yrs we’ve lived in the village and it’s the best Chinese restaurant in the area

We arrived without a reservation and were seated right away as there were plenty of tables available. The food was tasty and came out piping hot, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The prices were fair and the restaurant seemed like a great place for gatherings and celebrations.
We booked late in the day and so pleased we did. The staff are so friendly and the food was amazing, very tasty and exactly what we all wanted. We had a great meal for my husbands birthday and he was made up with his Birds Nest!!! Won’t hesitate to go back. Thanks very much.
Just had a wonderful takaway from the Dragon and Phoenix in Newton-le-willows. Ruby, the owner is so pleasant. We ordered a takaway and the food was delicious and piping hot. We've had other chinese takeouts but the Dragon and Phoenix win hands down on flavour and value.
The service at this restaurant is welcoming and the atmosphere is cozy. The menu offers a variety of options, and I was very impressed with the prawn dumplings, beef curry, and egg fried rice that I ordered. I would definitely return in the future.

Not the first Valentine’s Day meal we have had here over the years and it was as good as ever. Never disappoints, the food is the best Chinese we have eaten anywhere and that includes Liverpool and Manchester China towns. Absolutely amazing
