This is our favorite spot in New London. It's the last remaining bar where you can drink at the same bar as Eugene O'Neill. For history and literature enthusiasts, they have excellent soups that change daily and the best burger in town. We prefer our burgers on the smaller side, not huge half-pound portions, and the Dutch fries are fantastic. The menu is limited, but everything is delicious. They offer eight beers on tap, as well as bottled options.

This is seriously the best well kept secret that Connecticut has to offer. I 've often called the burgers the 'Snickers bars of cheese burgers ' it 's a perfect meal. If your a bit more peckish you can always grab a beef barley or split pea soup. With a great small town atmosphere this joint has it all!

Great place to have a quiet beer or wine. Local flavor open to newcomers. Old schools charm with friendly bartenders. Good for lunch too. Get there before 3 for lunch.
I always came here when I was stationed in the opposite. friendly staff and regular, good beer. the Dutch made me feel like a native far from home. my favorite ever!
