I attended a RAOC veterans reunion there last night. We had a wonderful time, the pub staff and landlady went out of their way to make us happy. When the bar in the function room was not working they arranged for a young barman to collect t our drink orders, go downstairs to the main bar and bring up the orders, poor lad was up and down those stairs all evening and did it with great cheerfulness. The buffet was ni e, with curry and rice, various sandwiches, sausage rolls, mini pork pies and some cold cuts of meat and cheese. It was lovely. The locals enjoyed what we couldn't manage. All in all a very good evening nd well worth the 2 hour trip from Birmingham. I'm already looking forward to n...
