Their web site gives the impression of a fine country inn serving gourmet quality food. It’s not quite that geez, folks, redo your lighting! Looks like a Mom and Pop restaurant back home but we had a good dinner and a nice white Rioja. The hummus appetizer was good. My wife enjoyed the haddock, said it was very fresh. My beef featherblade was also tasty. I’d never had this cut of beef before. The service was … interesting. Our server, a stout fellow, said very little and barely cracked a smile the entire meal. He talked and laughed with patrons at a nearby table. Probably regulars. Didn’t exactly feel welcomed.
Food was nice but nothing special and certainly not worth the price tag. This was our first meal out from our camping trip and we were left feeling very disappointed and out of pocket. Six of us ate, 4 adults and 2 kids, we shared starters and puddings and it still cost us over £200! Service was terrible and the atmosphere was non existent! Food portions were mediocre and certainly not worthy of the cost! Local taxi driver was great but said he hasn’t been in there in years as it’s no longer local and just aimed at the tourist market. Such a shame for the locals. If you want proper Scotland this isn’t it!
How a stay at an Inn should be and what I’d imagined. —— The atmosphere is very chill, friendly and come as you are. We felt very comfortable staying here. The rooms were spacious and very neat. Everything is provided and available. A lot of space to put away your stuff and suitcase, very nice carpet and the bathroom is modern. I must say, this was a bit pricier, but it is so worth it! We had a lovely meal in the restaurant below. The mussels were so juicy and well prepared. A good pick if you want to eat somewhere good, but still affordable.
We are staying nearby and had dinner here the last two nights. Excellent food, good sized portions, delicious beer. The staff are welcoming and give great service. I loved the venison burger the best. First burger in my life that I didn't want to add any condiments to, it was so delicious. My husband had a sauteed spinach dish with cheese and that was amazing too. We had a nice dessert also, the panacotta with berries was yummy.

Went to the Inn for dinner based on earlier reviews. I was rather disappointed to be honest. We were seated right by the door, which wasn't a good start, even though there was only one other couple seated when we arrived. No real ambience, no Specials and I thought the food was just good pub food rather than restaurant. Price was alright though. Have to buck the trend here and say I was underwhelmed.
This restaurant agreed as our safe port in the storm. Literally. It's hard to find restaurants ad hoc on Skye but this place had space for us. It was great food, the best service I had in Scotland, and the best Sticky Toffee Pudding too. While the rain outside came down in sheets, we enjoyed a nice meal in a confirmed place. What more can you expect?
Great spot a bit of a walk from our campsite 1.2miles but worth it. Very homely place with a good menu . Large portions and helpful friendly staff . The American couple from Vermont on the table next to us even gave us a lif5 back to the campsite the place had that friendly vibe good food friendly staff what more do you need.
Lovely modern room, bathroom was a standout for a Scotland Inn! It really had that inn feel with a modern twist. Second best breakfast we had over our 2 weeks (porridge was amazing!! , and the service was incredible, staff really made this a great place to stay :

This is for the restaurant only. They were able to squeeze us in without a reservation, which we were grateful for. The service and food were amazing. Fish and chips were fabulous as well as the sticky toffee pudding.
Edinbane Inn is a great place to stay. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Good breakfast, good evening meal and helpful friendly staff. Great value for money
