For the food, I started with the Baked Beef Empanadas. These were incredible and surprised me the most. I also tried the chicken version, but the beef was clearly the standout. They had the perfect crust, and I really enjoyed the filling. This dish is an absolute must-try! Next was the El Gauchito Salad, which I ordered to add some greens to my meal. It was a good salad, and I loved the arugula, but the menu suggested it was for two people; in reality, it could easily serve three. With a group of seven, we could have comfortably shared two salads. Moving on to the Parillada Completa for two, this is a classic starter at any Spanish steakhouse, offering a sample of various meats. This platt...

It was my first time visiting this restaurant (I usually go to my mom for Ecuadorian dishes), and I was truly impressed with the combo guayaquileño. The bolón had just the right amount of chicharrón, and the beef, along with its sauce and two sunny-side-up eggs, delivered all the expected flavors. I also tried the quaker, and wow! I had never experienced it with maracuyá before—it was delicious. The morocho was fantastic as well. There were eight of us, and we were all completely satisfied! The staff was wonderful too—very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back soon!
The restaurant is nice and clean, but as someone from an Ecuadorian background, I was disappointed with my experience. The ceviche was very bland, even though they provided lime juice on the side. Unfortunately, there were no sides included, so I had to order fried plantains separately. The guatite came with rice and an unripe plantain that wasn't sweet at all. Typically, this dish includes onions, but it didn’t come with any, so I had to order those as an extra side and pay more for it. I drove a long way to dine here, and I likely won’t be returning.
Omg!!! I freaking love this restaurant! My mothers side is from Guayaquil I always loved her my grandmothers food until I came here. Their service is great! So far their dishes are almost better than my grandmothers cooking and that?s a lot coming from someone who only use to eat homemade Ecuadorian food. I can?t wait to try all of their dishes! I came on a Sat. night for the first time and it was so good I came back on a Monday night lol! Book a table now
The restaurant has a fantastic ambiance. As they also operate as a butcher, you can see the source of your meat, which adds to the experience. The beautifully marbled cuts as you enter the restaurant are so enticing that they make you hungry even before they’re cooked. We ordered the skirt steak, and it was cooked to perfection! The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs throughout our visit.
I was very disappointed when we arrived. They charge significantly more than what is advertised on the menu; it lists prices starting at $10.99, but our bill came to $13.75 for each order of home fries, ham, two eggs, and toast. Additionally, each coffee was $3.75. You really can't trust the pricing here. This small business also served bad food, so be cautious if you decide to visit this place.
Coming from an Ecuadorian, this food is very good. Their grilled steak is very tasty. It even has grill marks on it. No complaints. If the prices were a little cheaper it would be even better. It is well worth the price!
Fantastic food for under $60 for two people! Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays tend to be busy. The meal was delicious, and the service was excellent. Book a table now
The sopa de bola was fantastic—I loved it! The cold beer was the perfect complement.
