Great place for a cheap, quick lunch. I love their chicken tacos. Today they accidentally made shrimp ones instead of chicken (after she asked twice on the phone) but they quickly rectified it and it took only a few mins to make the correct order. Their salsa isn't that great (salsa and chips). Takeout is fast and efficient and you get a text when it's ready. Dining in our waitress was very nice. The space is very small though with only a few tables. Music can be loud for those with noise sensitivity I personally enjoy it and it gives me a good vibe. First time at El Nopal for lunch today. The place was so clean, decorated very cute. Everything looked really well maintained and very welcoming. Our waitress was just ok. She wasn't super pleasant, she forgot our queso dip and our extra sour cream. She wasn't the worst, but def wasn't the best. Food was good, salsa was yummy. Service was fast. Was super excited to see live music on a Friday afternoon, and the gentlemen playing was amazing. Snagged his card on the way out (Tre Myers), hope to see him back there next time.
Service: greeted with kindness and hospitality. My waitress was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone there was friendly. Awesome service. Atmosphere: very clean and spacious. Food: quality was great. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! This is coming from someone who loves authentic Mexican food. This is now my family’s go to place for homemade food. It’s hard to find good food in Dover. Glad I found them. We dined in and also did takeout. The price is great. Check it out for yourselves.

I am from San Diego, California. When I say this is GOOD Mexican food, I mean it. The food is not overdone like most east coast Tex-mex. They serve simple, fresh, ingredients and provide an atmosphere that pays homage to their culture. The steak burrito with added avocado and no beans is the closest you will get to a San Diego Carne Asada burrito, thank me later! Do not sleep on them!!!
absolute gem! this place never misses, no matter what item you decide to try on their menu, and how many times you go. had the tamales for the first time here today, and the pork was cooked to perfection! the sizes you get for everything are amazing and you can't beat the prices. we will always come here whenever we find ourselves in Delaware. we love you El Nopal!!!
Nothing good! Frozen prepared food. Taco Bell quality stuff. Rice was the best thing about my lunch. The beans were a puréed mess. Asked for a tamale with my meal, it came as I was finishing up. I have the Mole pork. It’s was mole sauce blended with Bbq sauce. Hmm nothing Mexican about that. It’s a one and done kinda place if you are a foodie.
Excellent Service, our server was the absolute best server I've had in years. She accommodated my family so well!! Excellent Food, Great Prices. Very pleased.
