We placed an order through GrubHub. With the delivery fee and the tip, the bill came to $100. The restaurant called us to let us know there was an issue with GrubHub's delivery drivers, basically that there wasn't one, and that they were going to send their driver. We are a few towns over so not close. I called GrubHub as I wanted the delivery fee and tip refunded because I wanted to tip the restaurant's driver with cash, I wasn't sure when, or if, their driver would ever get the tip from GrubHub. I'm sorry, I hate giving such a bad review when the people that work at the establishment are fairly cordial, but the food here isn't good. After the 1st time I went I swore I would never go back but 5 months later due to a few other stores closing due to Covid my son asking if he could order something. Fantastic Spanish cuisine, along with friendly and unpretentious staff, creates a charming mom-and-pop atmosphere. We decided to eat here after missing our train by a few minutes, and it turned out to be a great choice as we took our time enjoying a lovely meal. I tried a remarkable dish featuring mashed plantains smothered in a delicious gravy-like sauce—either garlic or creole—with a protein option. Each bite was bursting with flavor. My dining companion chose the fried fish fillet, which was expertly thinly breaded and perfectly cooked. It was simple yet incredibly satisfying.
