Previous visits here have not been great, as you can read in my prior review. Recently, my wife and I came here for a 7 or 8 piece chicken entree, no sides, and had a coupon. We came to the window after ordering and the young man said something about our coupon being expired. We never saw the coupon again as the manager came to the window to inform us that either a) the coupon was given out prematurely or (b) had expired. We never quite understood. My wife had other coupons from the same flyer and they said the coupon was good until 6/28/23. The manager did not speak English well enough for us to fully comprehend his explanation but to his credit he gave us the meal for the price of the coup...
I ordered the Original Pollo Bowl with a Flour Tortilla and a Small Drink for $5.29. It's a decent deal, although the portion size is somewhat small. Still, given today's inflation, $5.29 is quite a bargain. Do keep in mind that the bowl comes with only a few pieces of chicken and is mostly filled with beans. Despite that, I found it quite filling and tasty.
I was a bit disappointed to discover that they no longer have a self-service sauce station, though I understand it could be for cleanliness. Make sure to ask for extra sauces if you want more!

Overall, it was quite good for a fast-food option. The shredded beef was tender and flavorful, and the tacos were deep-fried, reminiscent of Jack in the Box tacos. The consomé was a tad salty but still complemented the tacos nicely. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

I really enjoy the food at this EPL location; it’s always fresh. However, my order of four carnitas tacos turned out to be quite different from one another. One had mozzarella cheese, another was topped with creamy cilantro sauce, and the last one had extra avocado. It makes me wonder if this was just an innocent mistake by the staff or if they were pilfering food that was returned. Either way, it reflects poorly on EPL.

I typically place mobile orders at this restaurant, and my food is usually ready in about five minutes. It's conveniently located on the corner of Chapman and Placentia Avenue, right next to Sonic. I've had the chicken nachos and tostada salads, and both are consistently delicious. I also sampled the chicken tortilla soup, which I found to be a great healthy option compared to regular fast food.
It was our first time getting lunch from El Pollo Loco. We purchased a lunch package along with two different tacos. Overall, the food was good and portion sizes were ample for one person. They seem to be navigating through the COVID situation well. We will definitely give it another try soon.
Horrible service closed franchise at 9 and only gave me an option to go drive thru of course I did not go drive and instead took my money else were owners of this franchise should really train their staff better to follow BBB best practices and keep open u til stated hours stamped on door.
