We had a great experience at Emmett’s in Wheaton. Food was excellent. It is a great setting. The only thing I wanted to mention is that you have this great setting but The lighting does little to accentuate and show off such a great setting. The lighting fixtures have different types of lighting (daylight vs interior color temperatures). Overall lighting is too bright. The rooms (dining room and bar) would look much more appealing at a lower light level. Of course these things can be overlooked because the food and service is so good. It’s just a shame that with just a little attention to tweaking the lighting good add so much more to the dining experience.
The place was very warm. When I asked about the air conditioning, I was told that it’s always warm in the summer because it’s an old building. Our server was great! The fried potato munchkins appetizer was inedible. The featured drinks very overly sweet and tasted of very little alcohol. My wife enjoyed her salad and sandwich combo. I enjoyed the prime rib special, especially the garlic green beans. The raspberry tiramisu was a generous portion and very good. Overall the place was not busy with many empty tables when compared to the other restaurants along Hale St.
When we dined at Emmett’s, they were understaffed and our poor server was running in a million different directions. My husband and I ordered the tacos. Mine were veggie and were just okay. When I order veggie tacos, I would expect the roasted vegetables to be noticeable chunks and they weren’t. My husband’s fish tacos were fine, but not flavorful. The beer selection was great!
A somewhat limited menu (i.e., it fits on one page) with a nice variety of pub/grill fare with daily specials. Nice selection of draft beer, naturally, and my wife loved the sangria flight. Service was very friendly and timely, ac's nd prices were reasonable. A nice dining and social option for downtown Wheaton.

We arrived at the restaurant to find it completely dark, with a sign stating "closed due to staffing." While this is understandable in the current situation, not informing people with reservations is not. A simple email or text would have given us enough time to make alternate plans for the evening.
We have dined at Emmett's numerous times, and it was disheartening to see it so empty. The effects of Covid on the restaurant industry are truly evident. Our server, who also handled the bar, was fantastic. The food was served quickly and tasted great.
Was there for my 2nd Brewmaster dinner. Fantastic dinner and brews. Special shout out to the chef, brewers and staff with a special mention of Gus a bartender and server who is a great asset to Emmett's.
I had a wonderful dining experience. Our server was outstanding—she knew when to give us space while remaining very attentive to our needs. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Um… waitress was very nice. Food was awful. Chef has an attitude problem.
