I've only ever visited this place twice, and both times it was terrible. First time I just went for some chips and a seafood stick and scallops. It was all oily and flour-y and lacking any flavour. Second time I had a chicken kebab, thinking...it would at least be decent. The chicken was just cut-up pieces wrapped with a sad amount of salad. I'm happy it didn't cost me much as it was rubbish. I seriously don't know how this place is still operating with such a lacklustre menu and outdated decor. I can only assume being next to the train station means they get a lot of commuters walking past. Otherwise it's one of the most pathetic takeaway shops I've been to in Sydney.
Erskineville , little area full of nice pubs ,cafes and small eatery and a classic Fish Chip by the train station . You could imagine back in the 50/60's Dad getting off the train and going to this shop and buy the Friday fish... chips and go home to the family and enjoy a great family meal . But alas those days are gone for this shop and upon tasting and eating what would be a delightful meal was total devoid of any pleasure . This shop is in a location that should pop and an old school Fish Chips boom but needs a urgent rebuild and attention to its products .
I ordered a kebab expecting the usual kebab that would be stuffed with shaved meat, tomato, lettuce and sauce in a wrap and then toasted. I wanted a meal that could keep me going for the afternoon which typically a kebab can do. The...kebab that was served up contained a few chunks of cubed lamb, some tomato, heaps of lettuce and by request not much onion. The flat bread had been toasted pre wrap. The cost was $7.50 and I had downed it in about four mouthfuls and still felt hungry. Very disappointing.

Always fresh, delicious and well prepared. I'm aware that this shop has been around for a while and is family owned and operated so might explain the odds hours. I'm never dissapointed when I order from here. Always fresh, perfectly cooked and friendly service. Tartare...sauce is home made and one of the best. Will keep coming back as long as their open :
This restaurant has a traditional charm with friendly staff and serves food wrapped in butcher paper. The crab cakes had a nice crispy crust, but unfortunately, the quality ended there. The seafood dishes were bland, the fish was a bit rubbery, and the fries were not impressive. Overall, the portion sizes were small for the price.
We absolutely adore this fish and chips shop, as it is the only one left in the area now that all the other places have closed down. The chef is Greek, which means he really knows his stuff. The fish and chips are delicious, and we find ourselves coming back regularly.
We are locals and enjoy indulging in fish and chips at this place. The owner is very polite and charming. When they're feeling creative, they try to make wobble rings.

this place serves absolutely fantastic fish and chips nicely cooked. but it takes a while until eating is ready to wait. eating is so worth it.
We love getting the fried squid and chips. It's really yummy. Very convenient too, being so near the train station.
