Went here for a mid week meal. I got the cheeseburger quesadilla, my partner got the burger with mac and cheese on it.The quesadilla was something different and if I closed my eyes it was pretty spot on in taste to a cheeseburger. Honestly though it was a bit annoying to eat - one side kept falling off. This could be resolved by having cheese on both sides of the tortilla instead of just one so it oozes through and connect the sides together - delicious AND functional!My partners burger was interesting, he looked like he really enjoyed it. I noticed that they have changed the photos of accommodation on the website as we have stayed to better represent the rooms. but our room was small, hot and underwhelming. no pleasant experience and disappointment for the price. it was a small room with in the round. a queen size bed and an acrylic vincent van gogh kissen and a yellow cup with instant coffee sachets. the only way to get some fresh air was to open the window on a common balcony and it did not feel safe. my partner was there, so that it was lucky because I had stayed alone, I would not have opened the window. no pleasant experience. I am amazed at this same price point so that they can offer so little for the price.
I was at the erko a few times and it's always great. the location is amazing caffes, shops, bars, the university, etc. are all too foot accessible. the rooms are the basic old pub rooms with a community bath all very clean, simple,. well equipped and bright. and the pub itself is authentic and really good run. I love the spicy beef nachos! Besides, I never had a problem finding a car spot.
I chose to stay here to be able to visit relatives. I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of my room. Considering I was above the hotel my room was quiet. The showers were dated but the toilet and kitchen were spotlessly clean. I...ate dinner in the hotel during my stay and the food was excellent.

We love our one night stay at The Erko. It had a relaxed, local vibe with a fun retro style. Room was simple and just what we needed. We are in the pub and the food was excellent. Easy walk to our gig at The...Enmore. Highly recommend!
Stayed here for three days and couldn't fault. Great rooms ,great pub staff and a really good vibe. Btw the food is not too shabby either. Thoroughly recommended, wouldn't hesitate to book again next time I'm in Sydney
Popped in for a Saturday afternoon drink with friends. It is close to the train station so easy to get to. Friendly atmosphere and is suitable for friends and families to catch up.
I stayed 4 nights and loved it. The staff, atmosphere, food, and room were all great. I love pub stays and this was one of the best of the many pubs I've stayed at.
