We've had a lovely meal here at this cosy traditional Basque restaurant today. We had the menu du jour, it had four choices for each course, all of which looked gorgeous. It was 16eu for two courses and 22eu for three courses. We had sardines and a honey roast Camembert with smoked ham for starters and faux fillet and veal escalope for our mains which came with roast vegetables which were really tasty with all of the extra fresh herbs and purple cress added. The prices were really reasonable with an option to have a pitchet of house wine too if you didn't want to splash out. There was one lady who was serving and although it was busy she was really attentive and friendly. Thanks

We were looking for a place to eat relatively quickly and cheaply before going to the cinema, and this place was just the ticket. The food was good, the portions were HUGE - watch out, unless you have a really big appetite, or have not eaten for 2 days, you might find that a starter and a main course is too much to handle, and the bill was very reasonable for 2 people - 76 euros for 2 courses and a bottle of Basque wine. Service was very good, despite the fact that there was also a large group in the restaurant that evening. Great find; we'll be going back.

I visited Euskadi for a winter lunch before Christmas with two friends. We all ordered from the three course menu, and then shared the dishes between our party. I ordered the shrimp risotto for entree, duck for mains (with accompanying roast vegetables), and creme catalan for dessert, all of which was superb. As was everythning that the others ordered. The house wine plus bread accompanying the meal was also very tasty.

The restaurant now calls the chamoine Very pretty terrace treed and shaded. The kitchen is excellent, with products that seem to be of quality, we have enjoyed it. The plates were very beautiful. The servers were very pleasant, although very busy, with a little wait for the service, we felt the desire to do well. A high chair in good condition is available, which is a plus. In short, we recommend! Book a table now

Now the Chamoine. Same principle with local cuisine. Good relationship quality taken but bad organisation in the kitchen: 1 hour waiting between the order and the service of the dishes... it's a shame. fortunately the staff is nice, especially Maelle the waitress very smiling and full of good mood (although the waiting situation of the customers...

The food here is of a very high quality and tastes great. The service is friendly and overcomes any language difficulties. The set menu's are very good value and the setting is lovely in amongst the buildings of the old town with trees and fountains. Highly recommended

Enjoyed lunch in the sunshine , service was attentive and the set menu was good value. The Camembert with honey starter was particularly good . There was no vegetarian main but they were happy to let me choose another dish for the starter menu as a main course.
