Sadly disappointed when I learned that The Manhandler is no longer on the menu, I ordered the chunk pork. The flavor was fine, however, 1/4 of the serving was a large chunk of nonedible skin. The healthy side order of steamed broccoli was dried out. Remembering the warm, cinnamon/sugar apple sauce including slices of apple, I order this as the second side order and was greatly disappointed when served with a cup of prepackaged Mott 's brand, no sugar added applesauce. Taking out the situation where a broom fell on my Dad's drink sending liquid spewing everywhere and him having to get a new plate, the service was slow. Food was good but cold. When my dad's new plate came he said the food was hotter than the first plate, but everyone else in my party had cold food (ribs, chicken, etc). We asked for a condiment and never received it, drink refills took a long time. Overall, food tasted good, was cold, and service was slow. I'd go back to Famous Dave's but try another location
Normally Famous Dave's in Maple Grove is one of our go-to places, but they were severely understaffed. Our waitress was also stuck manning the bar, so it took her a while to take our order, and to bring our food out when it was ready. We knew to make a reservation in advance, so we were able to get a table immediately. There was at least a 40 minute wait for those who did not have reservations.
Our waiter was excellent, but he mentioned that he and one other server were the only ones working that day. He was quick and attentive, but he had to rush from one table to another, only able to spend a few seconds with each group. For a restaurant of that size, it's clear that more than two servers are needed.

When we arrived, we were seated right away. The waitress did a great job and food was fantastic. The only issue we had was that there was a noisy young family at the next table, but shortly after we sat down, they were finished and left.

very friendly restaurant, the food was delicious with an extra bit of fun because of my husband's birthday. will definately be back.
It was good. The food was good. The only downfall I had was the bathroom is so cold, it’s like you’re literally freezing!
