My friend Margaret and I had an incredible dining experience with outstanding service last night. The food consisted of small, seasonal plates bursting with exquisite flavors. The service was exceptional, with staff serving us with a smile. We are looking forward to returning next year. The food and drinks were simply sensational, made with very fresh, local ingredients. The atmosphere was lovely, and the location and hotel itself were top-notch, offering a luxurious experience.
My wife and I were looking forward to visiting this bar, but we were disappointed by the rude and unwelcoming bartender. He seemed more interested in pouring his own drink than serving us. My wife was shocked by his foul language. The men's toilets were in poor condition, with a dirty floor that seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I almost slipped on the wet floor, which seemed to be covered in either urine or water from the sink.
We only visited the bar and got to know Gordon, but for a positive assessment you also have to rate the rooms. Since this is also good according to hearsay, we have no reservations about the positive review. The evening in the pub was very comfortable, although 'only ' German guests were present. Gordon drummed on a wooden box to Scottish music and created a perfect evening for us with jokes, delicious cocktails, whiskey and Guinness. Rooms: 5
Didn't sleep there just had the most amazing dinner with my family and friends. Gordon the owner is a laid back chap, loved the cocktails he prepared and the food and the decor is just amazing. Fantastic experience wonderful dinner in a beautiful place with amazing service. A family ran inn where so much thought has been put in to creating a special experience for their guests. Fantastic pub with charm, personality, great drinks and a fine decor. Quintessential representation of what a British pub means. Highly recommended. My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and it was 10/10. Super charming place run by a really nice family. Friendly service, cool music, delicious food and we were quite happily surprised by how reasonable the bill was! You definitely need a reservation but I 100% recommend.

"Liver and onions was creamy and tasty. This is a quiet small hotel restaurant and a very nice menu. The sticky toffee pudding was unfortunately store bought and just average but enjoy the main course."
