Fish on the rock is a Sydney Institution serving fresh seafood in a cozy and inviting surroundings near Millers Point. I tasted the scallops and Blue Cod filet during my visit before two days ago. The huge blue-cod fillet was delicate, resilient and juicy and the thick puree and tomato-based overwhelmed her freshness not. This shows the skills and cooking techniques of the kitchen cook, which visually missing in a range of high-end and fine restaurant restaurants. The scallos, however, were pretty nondocript and unimpressive. Grief I would like to rate a solid 2.0 or 2.5 (which means that it is worth a return), but an incident concerns another (potential) customer customer changes my mind....

Fish at the Rocks is a Sydney institution which serves fresh seafood in a cozy and welcoming environment near Millers Point. I tasted the scallops and blue-cod fillet during my visit two days ago. Lovely ambience! It has a homely feel, good for families and couples. It feels like you're eating in a house, and the service was so nice. I ordered the scallops entree, which were delicious! Scallops were cooked perfectly and I loved the texture. For main I had the barramundi, which I was told was the house special. It was delicious, quite filling! The curry sauce was very tasty drizzled over the fish and rice. The flounder was also fantastic, very light. Both my parents thought the flounder was the best main. Dessert we had the chocolate pudding and creme brûlée- the brûlée was one of the best I've had, it had strawberries at the bottom. The pudding was lovely and unexpectedly light. A gre...
Beautiful ambience! It has a cozy feeling, good for families and couples. It feels like eating in a house, and the service was so beautiful. I ordered the Scallop Entree, which was delicious! Seashells were cooked perfectly and I loved the texture. For Main I had the Barramundi, which was told me, was the house special. It was delicious, pretty much filled! The curry sauce was delicious about the fish and the rice. The flounder was also fantastic, very light. Both my parents thought the flounder was the best Main. Dessert We had the chocolate pudding and cream brûlée - the brûlée was one of the best I had, strawberries had down. The pudding was beautiful and unexpectedly easy. A great night!
Expensive for not the most spectacular meal. Ordered Entree Mixed Seafood Plate $ 22 per person for literally 4 courses for food. The seafood ravioli on this plate were delish ... I could order a whole bowl. Main meal: Japanese crumbled whiting with chips. Very average ... especially especially. Dessert was incomprehensible: Coconutsago with mango. First class, top notch! The service was okay, resturft nice. Would probably not go again.
