Today was our first time trying Fishers of Men restaurant. Wow! The owner was warm and welcoming. I ordered grilled catfish with coleslaw and onion rings. I got three pieces of fish! It had great flavor. My husband ordered fried catfish and shrimp. He got four pieces of fish and 12 shrimp, and the shrimp were huge! They definitely get an A for amount of food! Our experience was wonderful (only waited 10 minutes for our food), and we will definitely go back again. Great job Fishers of Men!
Initial impression: The floor was very dirty and not cleaned or mopped at all. The health record score is 82. This restaurant is supposed to be Christian-owned, but cleanliness seems to be lacking. The name of the restaurant is from the Bible, so it should represent that. It is concerning that the health record is low. The restaurant should not be serving food to the public if they cannot maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
The restaurant is closed and no longer in business. I tried searching for its location but couldn't find it. The phone number provided did not receive any response, leading me to believe that the business has permanently shut down. It's unfortunate as it seemed like they had delicious fish dishes.
The staff was very welcoming and the hush puppies were delicious. However, the fried fish was not up to par and by 5:30pm, they had already sold out of many menu items. If you're planning on going for dinner, I would suggest calling ahead to check availability. Book a table now
I had the Cajun shrimp and grits and it was amazing. The best part is the welcoming atmosphere. The staff is professional and family-oriented. I have been here twice now.
No! I absolutely adored this restaurant. It was the one place where I could go and experience the flavors of home through NYC-style cooking. I will definitely miss it.
