I had a fantastic experience at this fish and chips shop! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there's a dedicated dining area along with convenient parking for customers. The service is exceptional; the staff is very attentive and caters to even the pickiest eaters. I drove all the way from London just to try their food, and I have to say, they truly deliver on their promise of the best fish! They also serve freshly cooked chips and fries, with no old stock being used. I ordered scampi as well, which was incredibly tasty, and their homemade tartar sauce is the best I've ever had! I really wish I could give more than five stars!
For some reason, this place frequently changes ownership, but this latest iteration seems to have figured things out compared to the last one. The cod was excellent—well-cooked and beautifully presented. The chips were crispy, flavorful, and generous in portion. I would definitely recommend it and plan to return myself.
from here, some of them had more out, since they opened up. changed hands a few times and unfortunately I had the occasional indifferent meal...lukewarm chips can be very disappointing. eating is very good overall and the fish is in the usually delicious. a bit expensive, but one of the best chipshops around.
Amazing food service was great. Went in with a large order (for 10 people) this evening and the server was really helpful and friendly. The food didn't take long and it was all very good, and exactly what we'd ordered. Will definitely always go back and I'd recommend it to anyone. Book a table now
on Friday afternoon sitting here for cheesy chips and chicken strips and it was delicious! the cheese chips were very tasty and a big price and the huh was amazing! better than KFC chicken by far! comes here more often!
The fish is very well done. Choice of haddock or cod. Pay for the home made tartar sauce, its really good!
