My friend Laura and I went to Flannel a few Sundays ago for the first time. Our server Bayjolie was super helpful with her recommendations and very pleasant as was all of the staff. My friend got the OT's Eggs with a side of hash browns that were cooked to perfection. I tried the B.A.C.T. to the Future: Bacon, Avocado mash, Cream Cheese &Tomato on an everything Philly muffin. I also added an egg which was a great call! Aside from the food and the service being amazing, the ambiance was cozy, inviting and fun! We sat in the window under a disco ball! We will definitely be back again to try their happy hour!
I 've stopped here for coffee with a friend a few times and my last visit was later in the day, right before dinner and it had a few people lingering around.. I haven 't been in here after 5pm so I can 't really add anything about the nighttime crowd but if you want to sit and relax and have coffee or something on the menu.. their pork sausage is yummy .. the bartender, servers, cooks.. all really nice, great personalities, helpful... the atmosphere is relaxed and.. well.. neighborly
The food was enjoyable, but I was taken aback by the added $2 fees for condiments such as butter and jam. The sides were generous, similar to those found at a steakhouse and meant for sharing. The service was average - we had to request things multiple times and received them late, such as water refills taking 20 minutes. Overall, I wouldn't discourage someone from giving it a try, but I personally don't plan on returning.
The reviews were misleading and the reality was vastly disappointing. Unfortunately, this was my worst dining experience in Philadelphia since I moved here. The food and service were subpar in every aspect. I have no intention of returning.

The pecan crusted catfish was delicious, but the shrimp grits were just okay. The staff was busy cleaning up and sweeping around us, which made us feel rushed. The music was great, but the atmosphere of the place was lacking in vibe.
It took me forever to find a decent chicken and waffles in this city but THIS is the chicken and waffles of my dreams. This place has the best hangover food. The biscuits and gravy are . 10/10 texan approved.
All the food was delicious and the kitchen was very accommodating to special requests. Our waiter Eric was charming and made us feel very relaxed. Happy hour drinks were flowing and we had a wonderful time.
I visit Flannel quite often. The food is always great, the location is always clean, and the servers are normally attentive and accurate.
