Concerned that when we went to order mains without entrees, it was suggested that we should order entrees as the mains take some time to be ready. That seemed strange - especially in an Italian restaurant and wondered if was a case of up-selling. We declined to order entrees. There were 5 of us and one was a 90 year old grandmother who doesn't eat big meals. We wanted something small for her and it was suggested that we could order a childs size meal which we did. The waitress then came back and said the manager said we can only order full size meals and take home what is left over. So we ordered a full size meal.Despite being warned that mains take some time to be delivered if not ordering e...

You normally associate Italian places to eat with generous and robust food. Not here. We ordered a main course with wine and what turned up was firstly 2 strips of bread but no oil or olives or anything to accompany the tiny strips, then the main course which turned out to be tiny portions that was about entre size but came with a mains bill. The food itself was very nice, the wines was also very good and no problem with the service. The staff were running around bumping into each other. The Tramsheds are a great place to visit and luckily we got some very delicious food at a nearby takeaway to fill us up. Got plenty of money and aren't hungry then go here. This was my first visit to the Tramsheds & I was impressed by the set-up. My friend & I chose to eat Italian as we have visited Italy together. We were sat at the bar which was fine. The service was very attentive. I selected the porcini mushroom pasta which was dark brown in appearance which was a bit off-putting. The flavour was fine but at over $30 I expected more. My friend Had the pork belly which she enjoyed but again it was a small serving for $40. We shared a Mudgee Sav Blanc for $40 which is on the low side for Sydney. Overall it was a good experience if not over-priced which means it would not be a regular eating choice.
On our first visit, we ordered the beef ragout parpadelle and the ricotta agnolotti; the pasta is homemade so deliciously fresh. We were served some focaccia with spicy olive oil which was also yum. The choice of starters was a bit boring but as we still wanted to order some starters, we went for the blue cheese salad and the calamari; there was way too much cheese in that salad and beside the cheese, the rest was a bit tasteless. I wasn't impressed either by the calamari which was canteen standard. It's a bit expensive with pasta around $30+. The bill can up around $150 for 1 adult and 2 kids. Book a table now
The tram sheds is a great location with a number of restaurants inside. Flour eggs water was a standout for us on our first visit so we decided to return. I actually had the same plate which was the Papadelle with Lamb my husband had a pasta with calamari and squid dish. The location is great as you watch people walk by, the service is friendly and the food comes out quick, it's a really enjoyable experience !! We did have desert but my advice would be to walk outside and grab yourself a gelato from Messina....xx
My wife & I had lunch here this week & enjoyed it thoroughly. The pasta was freshly made & the ingredients were tasty & well prepared. We were seated watching the chefs cookevery dish individually .The service was good & the atmosphere of this elongated restaurant had a nice buzz to it.It was our first visit to the TRAMWAYS complex & there is a nice variety of restaurants & shops there.
We loved everything about this restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic (British lady- forgot to ask her name but she was fab!) and the service was great. Food wise, the fresh pappardelle pasta with lamb was incredible and the cremino dessert...just WOW. A must have! Such a lovely little place for dinner and the open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work is an added bonus!
Visited the Tramsheds restaurant and had an excellent meal. Eclectic menu with fresh pasta made on site and a very good wine list. We shared 3 x entrees and 2 x main courses which was enough for the three of us. I would definitely go again. Highly recommended. Book a table now
My meal of octopus with watermelon was not something I would usually choose. It was delicious. The menu had some old favourites and then a choice of more adventurous ideas to suit a variety of people. I felt it was on the expensive side for a mid week meal.
It's a nice vibe but a little overpriced considering the smallish portions. The Papadelle with Lamb is my favorite and the gelato from Messina is a great desert option.

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
