From the way it looks on the outside, you would NEVER think that this place is a good as it is. The cashier was helpful in recommending things as well as her own favorites. I sat down with my sprite, waited maybe 10 minutes for a pork tonkotsu bowl and Japanese curry chicken. I was very surprised by how good these two items tasted. Other ramen shops sometimes have bland, dry tasting pork in their ramen, but the pork here is full of flavor and is crispy around the edges, broth tasted a bit too garlicky , but I like garlic so it was fine with me. If im ever in the area again I will MOST DEF come back ?

Forbidden Noodles the name should be taken seriously. It’s not like some hidden gem at all.The servers are nice enough. They take your order at the counter, and the menu above doesn’t have the food description under the items. If you want to know what you’re getting in your bowl, ask to see a hand held menu.I got the beef paitan… it had broccoli, bok choy, green onions, an unseasoned half boiled egg, and the beef of course. The whole experience was underwhelming.Save yourself the trouble and walk the 400 feet to Aodake Ramen. They have more ramen options and rotating specials.

My first time trying it. Have heard great reviews and it did not disappoint. The broth was rich without being oversalted. The pork belly was crispy and delicious. The egg was perfect. The dumplings were also very tasty. I can't wait to come back!!!Food: 5/5
