One of the best restaurant experiences in Columbus I've had. Wife and I went on a Thursday night for my birthday and it was fairly slow. The waiter was extremely accommodating offering many free samples without even asking for them. Truly passionate about the product and it showed. They had some interesting guest taps as well. A nice rye lager from a Chicago brewery etc...We had a couple appetizers, both incredible and came out quickly. Food hot and fresh. And we had entrees as well. The entree salad was a little basic, could have done a bit more imagination there but the dressing was so delicious and the burger is killer with that giardinera mayo. Nice delicate onion. No sulfur taste from t...

The restaurant is situated in the Easton area, so parking is quite convenient, with both street and free garage options available. We were seated right away despite not having a reservation. Our server quickly brought us water and took our drink orders. For our entrees, we ordered the tuna poke, which was tasty, and a double smashburger that unfortunately had thin patties and was overcooked. Additionally, there was too much sauce on top of the burger patties. On a positive note, it’s a nice microbrewery with a wide selection of beers. I tried the Ohio High, which features ingredients sourced entirely from Ohio. It was crisp and light—perfect for summer!
I am here quite often, just sitting at the bar working or reading. All the food I have had is delicious, and keeps me coming back. The staff are always friendly and clearly work hard to provide great service. Compared to other nearby places the prices are very reasonable. If you have not tried this place, you are missing out.(Note, I cannot speak to the alcohol as I do not drink)Vegetarian options: I often eat vegetarian here because all the food is just amazing (though I am not vegetarian).Parking: Easton parking is awesomeWheelchair accessibility: All areas are easily available via ramps.
I recently visited Forbidden Root and was pleased! Great atmosphere, food and service. I had the Mandarina Spritz which just tasted like sparkling juice lol. I also had the lasagna dip(not pictured) and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. My least favorite was the lasagna dip, the taste was fine but I kind of expected more. It was a bowl of marinara sauce with a scoop of ricotta in the middle( which is stated on the menu) almost soupy, it did come with some delicious spinach pasta chips though! Loved the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich so I will definitely be back! Book a table now
my boyfriend got the flight which he didn’t like very much but he is a new drinker, it’s a very cool concept! i got the candy bacon which was amazing recommended 100%!! the service was not good, people that came in after us got food, check, and everything before we even got our check, and we only got the two things. i would recommend because the bacon was absolutely amazing! just expect to wait longer if you are young she was more focused on the older groups of people.
We visited as part of a large group for appetizers and drinks. The food was definitely worthy of four stars, although they struggled to keep the buffet well-stocked. It also seemed that there weren’t enough plates and cutlery available for our group. The drinks were good, and the atmosphere was nice and casual. Prices were reasonable.
I stopped by for lunch at the bar and would highly recommend the small plates. We really enjoyed the sauerkraut balls and burrata! The food arrived quickly, and they were more than willing to split our entrée for us. I particularly liked the peach wit.
Had a great time. Salmon sandwich was great. I don't drink beer, but those in our party that got there house brews said they were VERY GOOD.Hope you enjoy it. Book a table now
Delicious food, great beers and a cool vibe! I recommend the Porter, and the candied bacon!
My salad didn't look fresh but everything else we ordered was great.
