We booked a table on the 20/10 2023 for 8. P clock we had booked it a week in advance when we arrived we were rushed to order our food and then inf they needed to close the restaurant at 9 o clock due to a family wedding this night was for my 60 th birthday with friends which was ruined by being rushed I was very disappointed by this the booking should never have been confirmed
Decided to go back to this place with a work colleague after the last visit was so good. Exceptional service from the 2 guys working in the restaurant, very friendly and attentive. Was recommended the chicken tikka thawa by a regular customer and it did not disappointing, very flavoursome and layered , lots of chicken. Highly recommended and will return again soon.
The restaurant is always beautifully decorated, showing that they invest in maintaining a stylish atmosphere. I have been a customer here since they opened in 1996. The food has always been delicious and continues to be so. The only major change is that they no longer serve alcohol, so you will need to bring your own.
We have been dining at The Fort of India for 25 years and the quality of the food has remained consistent since our first visit. Additionally, being able to bring your own alcohol is a bonus. I highly recommend this restaurant as it never disappoints and always delivers. Thank you. Book a table now
Lovely evening meal with the family last night, the food was excellent as always, and we were made to feel very welcome, the staff looked after us throughout the night, nothing was to much trouble, The Fort is a credit to the High Street, keep up the good work.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a very enjoyable experience. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. I will definitely come back when I am in the area again.
