Booked for 5 people Christmas Eve afternoon meal for my wife's birthday. It was busy but we were greeted quickly and seated in the restaurant at the back. Service was so friendly and welcoming, despite them being full. When they found out it was a a birthday, she even got a gin on the house! The food was really nice and excellent value. Wife and daughter both had a mixed grill, which was huge and extremely well cooked. The steaks (1 rare and 1 medium rare) were both done to perfection. There was also a home made steak pie (full of meat), duck in a nice plum sauce and my son was delighted with his barbecue sauce chicken and bacon. Also real homemade chips!! We really enjoyed it!
20 of us arrived for a prebooked baby shower. After paying £15 pp we were greeted by a small tea plate with half a limp ham sandwich, half a limp beef one. I’m saying ham and beef in the loosest of terms 99% water! Fear not thou….on another plate sat the stalest Welsh cake , a stale scone which they had already jammed up and added some sort of cream effort! Defo wasn’t clotted Cream! Massive shame as the pub looked quite inviting!
Phoned to.maje sure there were all day meals being served arrives 30mins later to be told NO FOOD BEING COOKED CHEF FINISHED FOR DAY disappointing was understatement we had travelled 30mins for NOTHING even had sign out side FOOD BEING SERVED used this pub lots in past wont be visiting again what they need to realise is money in customers pockets can be spent ANYWHERE
We visited for a family birthday and were not disappointed. The service was friendly and there was a wide menu choice. We all selected different meal choices and every meal was prepared as requested and served promptly. Excellent service from the start until we left. This is a lovely village pub that we hope to visit again soon.

Loved our meal out. The steak was cooked to perfection. Friendly and welcoming staff on a busy day. Only Criticism was that it wasn’t very social distanced, like the table next door was right close to my back.
Made to feel really welcome, lovely meal, lovely owners, nothing is to much trouble. Had to eat outside due to covid rules but they’ve done it out lovely and safe. Thank you
Great service, nice venue , excellent food , superb value for money. Both had corned beef pie off lunchtime menu , real chips , all fresh and hot , couldn’t fault it .
Went for a meal. All social distancing adhered to. We all had food from the Christmas menu and the food was fantastic. Well worth a visit
