This restaurant had potential after changing ownership, but has since declined in service quality. Despite supporting Fox's due to its convenient location and reasonable prices, we have been disappointed by the limited menu, lack of weekend night reopening post-Covid, and recent experience of being turned away 30 minutes before closing time. We have been loyal customers through thick and thin, but being denied entry during posted hours was the last straw. We reminisce about the days when Armando ran the restaurant with excellence.
Fox's is an institution here in Altadena. The food is far beyond standard diner fare, and the wait people are like old friends. Highly recommend. I need to be fair, the place and food worth it, and the vibe is very good. However, the old waitress and a hispanic waiter were awful with their service, zero courtesy.. except a very kind afroamerican tall man, that was not our waiter but was super cool with us, thanks buddy, you saved our day. Great experience at Fox's as first timers! The service was fast, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious! I had a cauliflower veggie burger which was out of this world! My wife had a pasta dish which was good, not great. The restaurant is small, but comfortable and very sweet! We will definitely be returning!

Love the team at Fox's! Unfortunately, the food is ok and they no longer have the lemon pie which was a mistake. Not a place I would look forward to going to and would only go for the logistical convenience.
