Having had a pretty bad day, I literally searched Italian restaurants in Rockland and even Peekskill specifically for Penne alla Vodka. I searched pictures. Obviously from a photo standpoint Francos won out. I had never been here and was unsure of what my experience would be or how good their pasta was. They were super courteous, they served me fresh warm bread, a very good salad and the penne was very good. I had it with a beer. I'm thankful for them helping to fix a bad day.
They were longer than I'm alive. I've eaten my whole life legally there. Whether it's a quick piece to go, a sitting dinner or one of her specialties, there's no place like Francos. Pizza places have come and have gone to Rockland, and a few who should close because they are terrible!! Francos is not a joke good food and even better staff! Always a smile and never a bad portion. Oh and the Thai Chili sauce for wings will change your life! Francos for life
I was in Nanuet on a business trip and the hotel I was staying at, the bartender HIGHLY recommended it to us (Thanks Jeri). I got a Large, Sausage and Pepperoni, and I must say it was phenomenal pie. I'd definitely come back. I would make this place my usual Friday Pizza night, but 800 miles is a tad far. What would the Delivery fee to Kennesaw, Ga. be? Thank you!!!
The pizza here is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. I'm updating my review after a year. I make it a point to visit Franco's every time I'm in Rockland. They've relocated to a bigger space with more tables, which is a nice change, but it no longer has that cozy neighborhood pizza place vibe. Nevertheless, the service and pizza remain top-notch. Had pasta with sausage and eggplant parmesan sub (see photos). Seems to be a family place with many children with parents dining in. Also couples of all ages.Take out business on the pizza side seemed constant. Large screen TVs with golf and football showing on this Sunday afternoon.
I stopped for dinner in Franco's tonight... fresh and delicious like ALWAYS. Never disappointed with this place. If you've never been, you'll have to try their Sicilian pizza, the buffalo chicken and their infamous sauce and Pepper Deep Dish slice. I can't beat this place!
My whole time favorite pizza place and I know good pizza! The chicken slice is amazing and the dinners are also fantastic. Always a warm smile and a family atmosphere. Have fun.
