This was our first visit. We were warmly greeted. The service was excellent. Never had to ask for anything. I had the special salad with homegrown heirloom tomatoes and watermelon. The tomatoes were so fresh they didn 't even taste like a tomato, delicious! My husband had the Sunday special, which is prime rib; he said it was also amazing. Then we had a piece of chocolate cake. Very moist. We will keep this a special occasion place. They are moving to a new location, so we look forward to going there. There is one thing I was surprised about. We were asked if we wanted bread for the table. It was a breadbasket, very delicious, with a couple of different slices of bread and two different butt...
This is a gem in the crown of Houston restaurants. The food is always solid. Consistently good with great choices. My go to when I need a great meal. Always recommend Franks. It continually distinguished itself in an already crowded field of great food.The staff are attentive and pay attention to the details. They are a welcome accompaniment to the great food
The food was great and they accommodated my large party of 10 without a problem. The deviled eggs are a must try. We tried the chicken fried steak and buttermilk fried chicken and both were delicious and the portion size is large. More than enough forleftovers. Also if you try a dessert try the carrot cake that was some of the best I've had a restaurant.
Everything was great except for the fact that, despite the fact that we notified the restaurant that we were celebrating two birthdays one of which was an not a mention was made of either one. No cake, no complimentary dessert, no nuthin'... This was a true disappointment, as we're fairly regular customers here

100% of the time, you will receive excellent food and service at Frank's. We had a very special Father's Day dinner there with our family which included a one year old. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, the waiters were so very kind and attentive, especially to the one year old and we loved every minute!
Our waitress was lovely, and the shrimp grits were possibly the best I’ve ever had, the depth of flavour in the roux was superb.
Excellent service and delicious food. Fried green tomatoes appetizer and seafood platter were superb.
Second to last night before closing, great crowd. Look forward to the next Chapter on Weslayan.
