What really bothers me is the handwritten sign on the door that says something like, "Only 3 kids in the store at a time." Seriously? You're situated next to a large park and are the only store of your kind in River Forest, which is filled with children. I’m amazed that the people in River Forest put up with this. The community should think about boycotting this place in hopes that it could be replaced by a more family-friendly, community-focused business. Where I’m from on the East Coast, convenience stores like this don’t exclude the local community simply for being part of it.
I highly recommend trying everything at this restaurant! The quality of the ravioli is outstanding, and the establishment is very clean. The service is also quite fast. One downside is that they prepare the sandwiches in advance, which can sometimes result in the bread being a bit chewy instead of soft. That's definitely an area that could use some improvement. However, their sauces are homemade and much better than anything you'd find in regular grocery stores.
This restaurant is truly special to me. I have countless memories of late-night outings with friends and summer adventures here! I absolutely adore Frank's Deli and always will. The service is outstanding, and the food quality is exceptional. Occasionally, I do notice that some masks tend to slip down a bit. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly give Frank's a perfect 10 out of 10!!!
At first glance, this place might appear to be just a convenience store, but they actually offer fantastic sandwiches and pizza. The pizza is sourced from Bertolli's next door, and my favorite item on the menu is the Italian sub. The Italian beef is also delicious, although it would be even better if they used Gonnella Bakery bread instead of Turano bread.

I found the restaurant to be alright, but during my multiple visits, I observed a decline in the quality of the bread each time. Even if the sandwich filling is tasty, poor bread can really take away from the overall experience. I don’t intend to go back for a sub any time soon; I think I’ll be choosing Sub Tender instead, as they also have better prices.
Frank's Deli is the top choice in the area, especially for those who appreciate a nice outdoor setting while dining. You absolutely have to try the pizza—it's fantastic! The ambiance is welcoming, making it a delightful find for pizza enthusiasts. They also serve a wide range of other food options.
The Federal Government backs Frank's Deli and often collaborates with them to supply snacks for government-subsidized programs, thanks to their excellent variety and competitive pricing.
This restaurant was amazing! I had one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted—the Italian Sub, packed with all the toppings. The service was excellent, too!

The best family-run pizza restaurant in the Proviso Leyden area. You should definitely give it a try!
