I was hoping for a little more on this stop. The staff was attentive and helpful. The BBQ was not to my liking. The pulled pork was served cold and wet with a large portion of fat. The ribs were dried out but seemed to be seasoned fairly well. The sides were OK, but nothing special. The lighting inside was spotty, with many bulbs burned out and trash from other customers littered the floor. There was a fair group of customers and many regulars that carried on with the staff. Hopefully, it was an off night.
The drinks were good, and the fried green tomatoes were tasty. However, the pulled pork was served cold, and the fries were stale and cold, yet somehow still made it to the plate. Our waitress didn't check on us until it was time to bring the bill. When I mentioned that the fries were awful, she replied that many customers had been complaining about them. If that's the case, why continue serving them? She wouldn’t make any adjustments to my bill, so I won't be returning. This experience drove me away.
I’m a serious foodie. Had the brisket platter it was delicious. The bark was delicious. I wish the meat had more smoke but other than that it was very good. The sides were very good as well and this portion size was generous. I had a potato salad and coleslaw. The potato salad was spot on. The coleslaw was fresh and chill properly. Although it could use a little zing. Maybe some dill pickle juice. All in all a great meal. Easy five stars.
Came here for lunch not knowing the name had changed. Saw the reviews and almost changed my mind about coming here, but did anyway. NOT DISAPPOINTED! I don't know what the folks who wrote bad reviews experienced, but try for yourself. It was delicious! The brisket was tender and it was a large portion. The sides were amazing. Even the coffee was good. I could have missed out on an amazing lunch. Glad I gave it a try!

One poor girl working the entire place including the bar. Tables not bussed. BBQ was just okay. House made BBQ sauce was bland not much flavor. Platter came with 2 sides I got onion rings and baked beans, baked beans were very good but the side of onion rings consisted 3 onion rings. Never got utensils until my wife asked. Many other BBQ spots in St Pete that are much better.
I ordered the baby back ribs, but they arrived tough and dry, resembling jerky. The batter on the fried green tomatoes and onion rings was excessively thick, overpowering the main ingredients and even causing discomfort to my gums. We left nearly sixty dollars poorer, feeling like we had wasted both our time and money.
Been coming here for well over 10 years, love the casual and laid back vibe, shout out to my favortie person there Ann, she is a great server, she's professional, friendly, and just awesome!!! She's on point everytime and a major asset! I love coming here, and it will always be my favorite spot!
I ordered a sampler from the catered menu. The price has increased but needs to be updated on the online website. The portions seemed to be less and they also forgot to put buns in the bag. I have always been happy before the name change but some of the sides have been changed too.
